The Importance of Water Management
Water scarcity and inefficient water use are significant challenges facing global agriculture today. With increasing demands on water resources, it is essential to adopt sustainable practices to ensure the long-term viability of food production. This workshop will provide a platform for experts from various fields to share knowledge, discuss best practices, and collaborate on solutions to improve water management in agriculture.
Event Highlights
The workshop will feature keynotes and panel discussions from prominent experts in the field. Dr. Petra Schmitter, a senior researcher at the International Water Management Institute, will provide a global perspective on water management issues in agriculture. Leo Marcelis, Chairholder of the Horticulture and Product Physiology Group at Wageningen University & Research (WUR), will discuss water management in horticulture and the role of Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA).
